lyrics

Being unclassy but striving for gingerly was on the forefront of my focus
but no stains on the carpet
that was my real victory

and of course

James, Billy, Skaggs and the skinny guy who ran the pumps
all in a club next to the little airport

with a secret handshake
And soft rural draw

They remain as stoic as statues
On a plinth in my left brain

But now I work under lizard lights learning to love the smell of enamel in the earliest parts of morning

And

until an estate sale takes me back
Ill just have to care for the apple seed
I planted from the tree in our backyard
